The
Bembo
|
Bembo
was cut by Francesco Griffo for the Venitian printer Aldus Manutius to
publish in 1495 De Aetna by Cardinal Pietro Bembo. Stanley Morison
supervised the design of Bembo for the Monotype Corporation in 1929.
The Bembo is a readable and classical typeface because of its well-proportioned
letterforms, functional serifs, and lack of peculiarities. |
