Peignot
|
Designed
in 1937 by the French famous poster designer A.M. Cassandre for the Parisian
foundry Deberny & Peignot. The typeface was named according the name
of the head of D&P, Charles Peignot. With Peignot, Cassandre
was trying to mix upper and lowercase letters in the same alphabet. In
typographic design, this kind of type is called biform. However, Cassandre
designed finally also a real uppercase alphabet inspired from the original
Peignot. |
