is one of the first typefaces to expressly take into account the requirements
of low-resolution printers. Charter is also not a simple revival
of 16th and 18th French fonts. The proportion and the form of the letters
are classical but the x-height is generous and the letterforms open to
insure a good legibility. Charter is the first original typeface
released by Bitstream Inc. |
